Shanghai Wild Animal Park

Shanghai Wild Animal Park – located about 35 km from downtown Shanghai, this park was opened to the public in 1995, and houses about 10,000 animals – from giraffes, zebras, antelope and white rhinos, to Chinese animals like panda bears, Chinese tigers, and snub-nose monkeys. The zoo is divided into a walking area where you travel on foot, and a bus-riding area (where you take a bus to enjoy close contact with the wild animals). There are five main sections: animal performing hall and areas for wild beasts, herbivores, penned animals and other animals.

 

Admission: RMB 130 (adult), RMB 117 (seniors 60-70 years), RMB 65 (seniors over 70 years), RMB 65 (student), free for children below 1.3 meters in height. Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (March-November), 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (December-February
